Step 1: Choose a heat source

Hot Water Heat Pump

Just as a heat pump that heats a room in your home, the outdoor unit uses electricity to absorb available heat energy from the surrounding air and then transfers it to your home so it can provide energy efficient hot water heating and heating for underfloor or radiators. The option of an installed hot water cylinder provides your home with hot water and integrates with the outdoor unit to create a whole home water heating and central heating solution. Hot water heat pumps work without the need for oil or flammable gas, therefore,  having no need for a gas connection or a fuel tank.

Gas Boiler

Essentially, a boiler is like a big furnace or fire that’s controlled by your thermostat. The main function of a gas boiler is to act as a heater and provide buildings with the hot water they need, which is important for two reasons.  Firstly, the hot water produced by your boiler is pumped through your central heating when turned on, providing it with a reliable source of heat. The second main function is providing a steady supply of hot water for your sinks, baths and showers. They do this by heating up a tank or container of water and keeping it at a consistent temperature, which means you can rely on the hot water you need to keep yourself (and your belongings) sparkling clean.

Diesel Boiler

As the name suggests, diesel boilers use diesel fuel as their primary energy source. Diesel boilers are known for their high efficiency. They can convert a significant portion of the energy contained in diesel fuel into heat, resulting in effective and economical heating solutions. They come in a range of sizes and capacities to meet the specific heating requirements of different spaces. Diesel boilers require professional installation to ensure proper functioning and safety. Regular maintenance is also essential to keep the system operating efficiently.

Pellet Fire

A pellet-fired system for heating hot water and central heating is an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative that utilizes wood pellets as a renewable energy source.

Pellet-fired systems are known for their high efficiency. Pellet boilers are designed to extract a significant amount of heat energy from the pellets, providing efficient heating for both hot water and central heating systems. Pellet boilers can be integrated into existing central heating systems, providing hot water for radiators or underfloor heating. The system can also be coupled with a hot water tank to meet domestic hot water needs. Regular maintenance is essential for optimal performance. This may include cleaning the combustion chamber, checking the flue, and ensuring proper functioning of mechanical components. Some systems feature automated cleaning mechanisms.

Step 2: Choose a method to release the heat

Underfloor Hydronic Heating

Underfloor heating is a system that uses warm water circulated through a network of pipes or tubing beneath the floor to provide radiant heat.

This system offers several advantages, including energy efficiency, even heat distribution, and flexibility in terms of energy sources. Transform your space with the luxurious comfort of underfloor heating. Discover a new level of warmth and indulgence as our cutting-edge heating solutions seamlessly integrate into your environment.

Our underfloor heating systems offer energy-efficient, whisper-quiet warmth, bringing unparalleled comfort to your daily life.

Warm water radiator central heating has become one of New Zealander’s preferred heating systems. Premier Heating have many years of experience at installing these systems and understand the benefits:

  • Energy Efficient: Modern radiators are designed for optimal energy efficiency, helping you save on heating cost in the long run

  • Healthy: Can vastly reduce damp and cold spots by providing even heating throughout a house. No blown air movement - Ideal for asthma sufferers.

  • Responsive: Water transfers heat at a much higher rate than air, which means radiators can heat up a room quickly and safely.

  • Quite: Radiators are extremely quiet, adding to the ambience they create.

  • Fully controllable: All radiators are controlled individually or as a system (which can be controlled via an app or set accordingly).

  • Aesthetic:  Radiators come in a variety of shapes & styles (colour choice is a available), allowing them to blend in or feature

Looking for heating and cooling?

Ducted Heating & Cooling

These are centralized HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems that provide both heating and cooling to a building or home through a network of ducts. These systems are designed to maintain a comfortable and consistent indoor climate throughout the entire space. Ducts are channels that distribute heated or cooled air throughout the building.

These ducts are usually made of metal or flexible materials and are installed in the walls, ceilings, or floors. Ducted systems often allow for zoning, which means different areas or rooms can be heated or cooled independently. This can lead to energy savings by only conditioning the spaces that are in use.

Our modern ducted systems come with programmable thermostats and control panels, allowing users to set temperatures for different zones and schedule heating or cooling based on preferences and daily routines. Our ducted systems include air filters that help improve indoor air quality by trapping dust, allergens, and other particles and regular filter replacement is important for maintaining good air quality.

As with all of our heating system installs, we partner with high quality manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the best products on the market are being sourced for our customers.
